I hope you had a lovely Christmas with your families.
If you were here, the weather was beautiful and then treacherous. I pray that you and your loved ones are all safe!
Our family had a nice quiet celebration. On Christmas eve, it was just my husband, youngest son and me and we enjoyed a lovely Feast of the Seven (oops, six) Fishes and sat outside in the mild temperature. Christmas day we were joined by both newlywed couples and we indulged in a Rib Roast, Duchess potatoes and creamed spinach. Needless to say, rich foods, champagne and spirits featured largely in our celebration so I am desperately in need of detox, reset or both!
The family time was the best part of the 48 hours. We played a lot of cards, (Oh Heck was a favorite), worked together in the kitchen preparing and doing dishes, walked the dogs, worked puzzles and just caught up with each other. It was wonderful.
The week following Christmas is usually pretty quiet and time for reflection about the past year and further reflection about what we need to change for the coming year. My big announcement for you is that Butterfield Gourmet will be moving locations…but I don’t know where yet! I am no longer able to rent from the owner of Cafe Gourmet on the Go. Although I have access to another commercial kitchen in which to cook, unfortunately it’s neither ideally located nor a good set up for meeting customers. I hope you will bear with me as we make the transition. Pick-ups may be unusual and the times are definitely going to change–most likely to earlier in the day. If you have thoughts on your preferred pick-up time, would you kindly shoot a note back and share with me? Since I am making so many changes and nothing is solidified as yet, this is a great time for you to offer your opinion and preference!
As I reflect on the past year, I am struck by my many blessings, one of which is you. I am so fortunate to do what I love for people who enjoy what I do. So I sincerely thank you for your patronage and for all of the times you have referred me to your friends, which is to me, the highest compliment.
I’m keeping the menu pretty simple until I gain some permanence, but as always, let me know if you need something specific. Below this week’s menu is a peek at the following week’s offerings.
Pickup days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. When you order, state your chosen items and preferred day. Your order confirmation will provide you with a pick up location and an opportunity to choose a pick up time slot. Please provide your cell number with your order.
